I strongly believe that compliance programmes must form an inherent part of business development and growth and must be designed to be implemented effectively by those in the business, by staff whose primary role is delivering the best service to customers. Therefore, they must be risk-based frameworks that do not ‘impose’ compliance as an additional element of work, but incorporate ethical behaviours and risk management smoothly and efficiently into standard business processes.
